It's hard when you're a giver. When you always make way for others, give chances, give attention, you give love even when days are rough and all you can afford is to lend your ears. It's hard when you are always a giver. People always expect you to have something to offer, even though there are days when it's all just empty. When you just want to stop but don't want others to think you are selfish for doing so.

I realized, not all the time I can offer myself. Not all the time I can shower love and attention. Not all the time I can lend my ears and listen to others but my own. I am a giver, but I do get empty. I am a giver, but sometimes, it means giving myself what I also deserve, too.
